We are seeking a talented, passionate professional who has the right mix of WordPress development experience, design creativity, and technical know-how to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating broad knowledge of WordPress development, be self-motivated, and be able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, small-team agency environment.

This is a full-time position of at least 40 hours a week, with a mix of remote and in-office attendance. Evening and/or weekend work is occasionally required. Candidates must currently live in the Portland, Oregon area. Job Responsibilities

• Develop custom, responsive WordPress websites, from simple informational sites to complex e-commerce builds, using clean, logical, well-documented, and reusable code.
• Help shape project development decisions using best practices and accessibility standards.
• Use our client support system to resolve reported problems with existing websites promptly or assign support tickets to other team members when applicable.
• Assist with managing multiple WP Engine hosting environments that support over 140 existing WordPress sites, including regular plugin updates and backups.
• Establish and guide website architecture, project priorities, timelines, scopes, and costs.
• Work in a local environment and push to staging/live as needed.
• Test plugin / theme compatibility.
• Interact and collaborate with others to solve problems.
• Work unsupervised when needed and remain self-motivated.
• Communicate well with coworkers and clients.
• Maintain strong attention to detail.

Qualifications/Skills

• Proven dedication to WordPress CMS development, including the creation of custom post types, widgets, blocks, and themes.
• Standard plugin proficiency (WP Bakery, Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields, Yoast, Slider Revolution).
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to best practices in coding and site optimization.
• Knowledge of programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP — Bonus points for experience with or ability to learn Timber / Twig
• Some knowledge of/experience with DNS management and SMTP configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Interact and collaborate with others to solve problems.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• GA4, Tag Manager, and conversion tracking experience are a plus.
